Kotoko Close In On Ransford Osei Deal back
posted on Fri, 17 Aug at 08:02
Ghana striker Ransford Osei is on the verge of joining Asante Kotoko.
The 21-year-old is seen as the ideal replacement for Ben Acheampong who will sign for Swedish champions Helsinborg.
Osei who is also looking to revive his club career is said to have had lunch with Kotoko chairman Dr. K.K Sarpong on Wednesday where discussions over a possible move were held.
No official statement has been made but it is believed the Premier League champions will be making an announcement immediately the move is secured.
Osei’s club career has taken a massive dip since bursting onto the scene as a 17-year-old in 2007.
He emerged the top scorer during the African U-17 Championships in Togo that year and helped Ghana’s U17 to a fourth place at the FIFA World Cup finals in Korea.
The former FC Twente striker was also part of the Ghana U-20 team that won the historic World Youth Championship in Egypt three years ago.
