Empire Entertainment promises a bigger Ghana meets Naija edition 2 concert back

The second edition of musical concert Ghana meets Naija has been launched in Accra.
The biggest Ghana/Nigeria concert organised by Empire Entertainment presents the biggest platform showcasing great acts from both Ghana and Nigeria.


Speaking at the launch was the founder and CEO of Empire Entertainment, Bola Ray who indicated that this year’s show is going to be something out of the box and will be raising the bar once again in the showbiz arena.

According to him, the second edition of the Ghana meets Naija show is going to be a much bigger version compared to the first. He said this year’s show will be in 3 countries namely Ghana, London and Nigeria respectively, with the job of showcasing real African talent to the world and beyond.

The show promises to be the biggest event on the entertainment scene this year hitting Ghana on the 30th June and going all the way to London on 21st June. He also stated that there will be a show in Nigeria sometime in October with the support of Ovations Magazine CEO, Chief Dele Momodu.

Gracing the event with their presence was the Hon. Minister of Information Mr. James Agyenim Boateng, Mrs. Dorcas Bola Ray, ace and award winning actress Yvonne Nelson, musicians Buk Bak, Kwaw Kese, Keche, Nigerian artistes IQ and Davido and many other artistes from the entertainment industry both in Ghana and Nigeria.

Nigerian artiste IQ said the show was going to be really entertaining and fun, saying, “just expect the best and see us showing brotherly love and partying”.

Davido the artiste behind the track “ Bami Duro oh” which is getting incredible airplay in Ghana and Nigeria on his part said he feels really elated to be called upon to work with great artistes from Ghana and Nigeria.

Hon James Agyenim Boateng, the Minister of Information who was once a radio and media personnel indicated that he has love for the entertainment and media industry and that it’s an industry he still follows and supports.

He said he was beginning to see a lot more “unprecedented” events such as the Ghana meets Naija show. He further congratulated Bola Ray, Empire Entertainment, and the organizers for the good job done by putting such an event together. He said Ghana and Nigeria have always been known to have a common history and added that Ghanaians and Nigerians have constantly been best of friends. He commended the event organizers and said it displayed the peace and friendly relationship between the two nations. He said it was an enterprise worth exploring and venturing in. He further added that shows like these are made possible due to the peaceful nature of Ghana and have over the years promoted business, investors and etc.

He said the current government of President J. E Atta Mills has shown its deep interest and commitment in the creative arts industry as it has just allocated 2 million Ghana cedis for the development and improvement in the arts industry. He said this can only come from a government that is really interested in seeing the arts, entertainment, music, and creative industry improve and grow to higher heights.
