Vodafone Healthline rescues 14-year-old Nadia from gruesome accident back

Vodafone Ghana’s award winning TV show Healthline Season 2 premiered last Sunday with a very chilling story of 14-year-old Nadia Akorsah who together with her siblings were ran over by an articulated truck months ago in Kumasi.


Nadia who comes from a modest family needed help to pay her medical bills and also acquire a prosthetic leg after one leg was amputated due to the massive injury she suffered from the accident.

Vodafone Healthline, just like they have done through their first Season, paid the entire medical bills of Nadia as well as provided her with a prosthetic leg.

The forty-five minute programme has been revamped with two new segments, the ‘Kids’ Corner’ and the ‘Treatment Room’ which add up to regular segments ‘Staying Healthy’ and ‘Sex Talk’ segments.

According to Head of Corporate Communications at Vodafone, Carmen Bruce-Annan, the motive behind the introduction of the ‘Kids Corner’ segment was to focus on health issues that are pertinent to kids, and to educate guardians on how better to manage them.

She also explained that treatment room segment was introduced to practically teach viewers how to perform simple health exercises such first aid tips at an accident scene.

Speaking at the premier of the season two of Healthline at the Silverbird Cinemas, Carmen Bruce-Annan stated that Vodafone is passionate about health and is committed to empowering Ghanaians to take control of their health and live healthier lives.

Vodafone Healthline would be shown on TV3, eTV, Top TV, for the next thirteen Sunday evenings, and also on Metro TV and Crystal TV, Wednesdays.
